Insane Rich Cocoa
This should be illegal but here it is…This is not for the faint of heart. It’s not meant to be really sweet, but instead really chocolatey. First time out, it may be overload (you can add milk).
We usually use professional grade cocoa (Vahlrona) but Hershey’s rates really well, too, so use what you have.
You can adjust the milk for strength: the least you can use is probably a cup, 2 is still quite strong, and 3 if you’re afraid of chocolate.
The espresso power is just there to tweak the chocolate flavor even more (as if).
Ingredients
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon espresso power
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups milk, steamed
Instructions
Bring water, vanilla and sugar to boil for 2-3 minutes.
While boiling, steam milk.
Sprinkle in cocoa powder, espresso powder and salt, and whisk for 1-2 minutes, constantly, to avoid burning.
Turn heat to low and whisk in milk. Whisk briskly for another 1-2 minutes to combine thoroughly. Remove from heat, serve.
